Hello! My name is Shannon Bailey. I was born and raised in Lancaster, California. I grew up playing all sorts of sports, including softball, soccer, volleyball, and even a few years of basketball. I moved to Monterey Bay in Fall 2009 to continue my education and finish my softball career. I completed my career as a student/athlete in 2011 at California State University Monterey Bay and graduated in 2012 with my Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology: Interdisciplinary Sport Focus (coaching, sports administration, physical education, etc.). For two seasons (2011-2012 & 2012-2013) I worked as CSUMB Softball's Graduate Assistant. I have always been intrigued with the strength & conditioning side of improving sports performance, so in May 2014 I received my NSCA (National Strength & Conditioning Association) Personal Training Certification. I am currently working/interning as a Strength & Conditioning coach with a group of Strength and Conditioning Specialists at The Alpha Project. I am also open to training anyone else interested in living a healthier lifestyle! I live in Monterey with my boyfriend, Dave, and our dog (Kona) and cat (Millie). Besides coaching I enjoy working out, hiking, going to the beach, and spending time with family and friends!
